This a public announcement for anyone out there that needs to hear it…
E-commerce is just as legitimate as a 9-5 job
To Be Blunt This is for anyone out there that needs to hear it… E-commerce is just as legitimate as a 9-5 job.
E-commerce businesses can thrive, but you have to be prepared to put in the effort and hard work to see success.
“Hmmmm that sounds a lot like other businesses…” Well that’s because it is a legitimate business model.
Here’s what you need to know if you ever plan on starting your own E-commerce business,
1. Haters gonna hate (🎶hate, hate, hate hate)
There are a lot of doubters out there who think that the only way to make money online is by scamming others. And, sure, while this does unfortunately exist, it definitely doesn’t apply to everyone.
New ways of doing things are always met with criticisms because change is difficult for humans. But overtime, E-commerce will be the new normal. The world is trending in that direction.
2. It takes grit
If you start your own business, there is no room for the blame game.
Most startups fail because they just give up, not because they run out of money or time.
In this business you need a game plan and you need to think about the long term goal. There will be a lot of ups and downs but you’ve got to stick with it if you want to succeed.
3. Pivot. Pivot. Pivot.
I can’t stress this point enough.
In the world of E-commerce things are changing quickly. You need to be constantly correcting course and analyzing your data.
As an engineer, I’m a bit of a data nerd, so I enjoy this part of the business. I love investigating what’s working, and doubling down to accelerate growth.
Final Thoughts
Making money online whether it’s Amazon FBA, Kindle publishing, Etsy, etc. (and the list goes on and on) is real and it’s here to stay.
