HEY AUSTIN,
What were your favourite Saturday morning cartoons as a kid?
Who else remembers waking up early (like way too early) on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons?
Sign me up for Saturday morning cartoons and a large bowl of Cornpops every morning and my life would be complete.
I know I’m not the only one.
My memories of Saturday mornings include a large bowl of Cornpops (with multiple refills) and a line-up of the absolute best cartoons.
My top 3 favourite cartoons (in order) are…
1. Aladdin (animated TV series)
This one should come as no surprise because Aladdin is one of my favourite Disney movies.
Magic, adventure, a silly monkey… need I say more?
Oh, I guess there was a princess too, but I wasn’t there for her #sorryjasmine
2. DuckTales
Might solve a mystery,
Or rewrite history!
DuckTales! whoo hoo!
Okay, that theme song was catchy AF.
Looking back, I feel sorry for my parents for having to deal with little Austin, sugar high Cornpops, running around in his underwear screaming A-WHOO-HOO at the top of his lungs.
And the best parent awards go to…
3. Gargoyles
Do any of you remember this one?
It was about gargoyles coming back to life in after being trapped in stone for 1000 years and trying to adjust to the modern world.
I remember it being a lot scarier than the others, but I think that’s why I liked it so much.
Final Thoughts
Saturday morning cartoons were the best.
I had forgotten about a lot of them until writing this post.
